Day 45: Le Roy, Michigan-Clare, Michigan 49 miles
We ate at this amazing doughnut place owned by police officers. The best doughnuts I've ever had. Once again the small business strikes again!
Saw Amish or Mennonite buggies!!!
Realized how traveling without financial wiggle room is not wise traveling.

Day 44: Interlochen, Michigan-Le Roy, Michigan 77 miles
Talked to BJ about having to step down. He said: "You've got a heck of a story". He said I should not explain myself to anybody.
Day 43: East Jordan, Michigan-Interlochin, Michigan 62 miles
Stopped at this amazing cherry pie place where I got to eat a homemade pie. I was thrilled to see the power of the small business.
We had lunch at Frenchies in Traverse City, Michigan; the best place to eat a sandwich; you could feel the love in the food!

Day 42: Mackinaw City, Michigan-East Jordan, Michigan 70 miles
Meet the "new American family" (no Suburban anymore...):
Pete gave me a birthday piece of cake. It was his father's and daughter's birthday too!

Day 41: Rest day in St. Ignace, Michigan
I cried a lot. I prayed and prayed because I was overwhelmed by the things I could not control.
Day 40: Manistique, Michigan-St. Ignace, Michigan 87 miles
Saw this license plate that read "LessGov" with a Democrat license frame.
It got me thinking about how using broad terms to define people blinds us from truly learning from each other. A Democrat demanding less Government?
Totally worried about how to get to Buffalo to wait for the team. If I have to give up the trip due to a lack of funds, I'm ok with that. I believe in debt free living so if it means I have to take a radical stand, so be it.

Day 39: Escanaba, Michigan-Manistique, Michigan (56 miles)
Woke up at 3:50 AM and had my first early start since the trip began. Edward's tough-love advice really got me thinking about making things happen. I got to ride with Bonnie and Karen the entire time and it was really nice.
