Day 10 Libby, Montana-Eureka, Montana (70 miles)

In Eureka I went to have a meal at this place where they were serving meals from 4 to 7 PM. I was told by a guy that unemployment in that town is around 29%. When I was eating there I had an interesting conversation with Mary, who told me that there are no jobs in that town and said that having a McDonald's would help even if they pay minimum wage because they would provide jobs. The attitude was "there are no jobs". She also shared how actions from environmentalists have affected their community, since when an area is restricted to get lumber from, two things happen: 1. wildfires can take place 2. jobs are destroyed. I learned about the other side of the story behind protecting our environment.
